| No changes were made to the Updated Dress Code: |
The purpose of the Dress Code is to reinforce the Catholic values of modesty, anti-materialism, equality, respect for oneself and others, and obedience to authority. The ultimate interpretation of how these values are embodied in the dress code is at the sole discretion of the faculty, with ultimate authority resting with the principal. The guidelines articulated below are meant as a general set of expectations and should not be considered exclusive.

Gym Clothes
Students are required to dress for gym in the uniform available from Target Sport Shop. Gym shoes which are predominantly black, blue, or white and white socks are required. On gym day, all students are permitted to wear the gym uniform as described above all day in school. Sweatshirts and sweatpants must be worn during class times in all classes from October1 to May 1. Students not in the approved gym uniform must remain in the regular school uniform all day. Students not dressed appropriately for gym will be given an alternate, related writing assignment to do in the principal's office during gym class.
Non-uniform Days
"Dress Down Days" or "Dress Up Days" (non-uniform days) may be held at various times throughout the year. Shorts, no higher than two inches above the knee, are permitted in August, September, May and June only. No tank tops or bare shoulders are allowed. All tops must be sufficient in length so that they may be tucked into pants/shorts and remain tucked in. No shirts with inappropriate advertising are permitted. Tight fitting garments are not permitted nor any manner of dress that is sloppy. The faculty and administration retain ultimate authority to determine appropriate clothing on dress down days, relative to the mission of the school. Students who do not dress appropriately may be excluded from class and other activities and will be instructed to call their parents to secure a change of clothing. In addition, repeated violation of acceptable standards for dress will result in the student losing the privilege to dress down. As a general rule, it is safe to assume that if any item of clothing is questionable, it is probably best if the student does not wear it to school.
Makeup
No makeup is permitted for students in grades K-6.
